About Us

We work to Understand Your Kids Needs

Our mission is to provide quality education for children in an age-appropriate and loving way, as we strive to exemplify Christ in both excellence and compassion.  As a ministry of CrossRoad Church, we seek God for our strength, knowledge and wisdom. All members of our qualified preschool staff love the Lord and strive to serve Him by ministering to young children.

We believe in educating the whole child. We focus on the their spiritual, academic, behavioral and social growth. We teach them biblical truths from stories in the bible and most importantly we teach them that God made me, God loves me and Jesus wants to be my best friend forever. Academically, we are run like a school in order for the students to get properly prepared for elementary school.  We believe in the foundational building blocks in reading, writing and math. Our curriculum is hands on because we feel children learn best when learning is fun! Behaviorally, we teach the students the difference between good choices and bad choices. When students make a bad choice, we want them to learn what the better choice is and what to do next time. We believe in keeping the students accountable for their actions and focus on their positive behavior and praise. Socially, we want to teach the kids how to interact with each other; how to use kind words when we play and problem solve so that they can learn how to handle simple social issues that they may encounter.

Preschool education is more than just academics, it is about laying the foundation to properly prepare them to have a smooth transition into elementary school.

Mrs. Glenn

2’s Assistant

My name is Tia Glenn and it is my
pleasure to partner with Mrs. Navarro to help foster maximum academic
growth in your little one. I have been a teacher here at Kingdom Kids
Preschool for the past two years as a substitute and as an assistant teacher. I
am also a Preschool Sunday School teacher here at Crossroad Church. My
mission in life is to positively impact the life of children by first being an
example to them, teaching them about Jesus Christ and guiding them as
they grow. I am looking forward to an amazing year with your little ones!
Mrs. Navarro

2’s Lead Teacher

I am from Brazil and I have been living
here for almost 20 years. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and a
Master’s Degree in Organizational Management. I taught elementary and
middle school before, and I was also a swimming coach for many years. This
is my first year teaching at Kingdom Kids. I believe, with God’s help and his constant presence the students will have a successful time at Kingdom Kids.
Ms. Masters

2’s Assistant

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in
Psychology with experience in the field of child development. I have worked
for Kingdom Kids Preschool for 8 years now. I also have a 15 year old son
who was a preschool student here at Kingdom Kids. I look forward to meeting
you and your child for this upcoming year and being the assistant teacher for
Mrs. Hinds’ class.
Mrs. Hinds

2’s Lead Teacher

I have been teaching at Kingdom Kids for 17 years! I have a degree in Early Children Education. My philosophy is that learning is more than just ABC’s and 123’s. It’s about experiencing, interacting and of course, being a child! We will support your child to build self-esteem, confidence, and a love for learning!
These skills will be developed through play, crafts, stories, and music. We will be using the Bible to introduce the simple concepts of God’s love.

3’s Assistant

I have worked with the 3’s class for
4 years. I’m very happy to work with this age group. I really love seeing the
students blossom and learn to become independent. I was born in Peru, but
have made Jacksonville my home since 2008 with my husband and 3
children. All my children also attended Kingdom Kids Preschool and I am
thankful for what they have learned here!
Mrs. Porter

3’s Lead Teacher

I have been teaching at Kingdom Kids for
several years and I am very excited to be here. I have been a member at
Crossroad Church for about 11 years. Both of my children have attended Kingdom Kids. I am a very family oriented person and love spending time with my family.
I love teaching and enjoying watching the students learn, grow and blossom throughout the year!
Mrs. Pugh

3’s Lead Teacher

I have taught preschool for 22 years and have many certifications specializing in early childhood education, including my CDEA. I consider teaching my calling and my ministry. Watching children grow and learning about God’s love, is a huge passion of mine. Their curiosity and exuberance is contagious! I have been married to my husband, Dean, for 26 years. We have two wonderful children.

Mrs. Nicolas

3’s Lead Teacher

I earned my Bachelors Degree in Psychology at Philippine Christian University. Going to church was a big part of my childhood and it was also in church both here and in the Philippines that I got the chance to work with kids. I was at stay home mom for seventeen years to four children. This is my fifth year teaching the three’s at Kingdom Kids. The first five years of life create the foundation for the child to accomplish important development advances in mind and body. It is during these years that the brain undergoes dramatic growth. It is my challenge then to help your child grow in those areas.

Nathalie Potts

I have been in education for over 16 years. With a bachelors in Elementary Education, I have taught in elementary school, high school and preschool. I have been the Director at Kingdom Kids for almost 6 years. I am blessed to work with such a gifted staff that not only loves the students but they love what they do. We are a community that comes along side parents during these formative years and I am thankful to be a part of it.

Ms. Younan

VPK Assistant

I have been the VPK assistant for several
years now and I truly enjoy being here. I love getting to know the kids
especially be able to be in the different classrooms. I have two grown sons,
one is a fireman and the other is a police officer. I am blessed to be a part of
this staff!
Mrs. Moore

I have taught VPK for ten years at another
Christian Preschool in Jacksonville making this year my sixteenth year
teaching in a Preschool setting. This is my first year at Kingdom Kids! I am
very excited to join the parents in training and preparing your child for
kindergarten – socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually.
Ms. Faulkenberry

This is my seventh year at Kingdom
Kids Preschool. I have been teaching preschool off and on for
the last 35 years while taking a few years off to be home with my own two
sons. I really love teaching young children, and enjoy watching them grow
socially, emotionally, and academically! I enjoy watching the students blossom throughout the year and blessed to teach here at Kingdom Kids.
Mrs. Nelson

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary
Education and have previously worked as a 3rd grade reading teacher and as
a reading interventionist. This year, because of God’s leading, I am excited
to be at Kingdom Kids; teaching, playing, and caring for your child. I believe that school, especially for young children, is more than just learning the colors and
numbers. It is also about interacting with other children, playing, and
experiencing new things.
